Our 6th annual Night at the Races football fund raiser will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the South Fayette Fire Hall in Cuddy. Packets have been mailed to each family and include the following: 6 Admission Tickets, Horse Buying Form, Parent Letter and Business letter.

At this time, we are looking for volunteers to help Tracey Valko with securing items for our Chinese Auction. Tracey has a list of businesses that, in the past, have supported this event by giving a donation. If you would consider helping, please contact Tracey as she can give you direction on which businesses we would like to have contacted. For many businesses, the earlier that they are contacted the better our chances at getting a donation.

We are also looking for larger ticket items to be used in our Silent Auction. At present, we have an autographed Sid Crosby Jersey. If you or someone you know would be willing to donate items for this portion of the fundraiser, please let us know. In years past we have had tickets to sporting events, fashion accessories, Romance Packages at hotels, and much more. Please remember that each donation is considered a Tax Deductible Contribution and documentation can be given to each business as needed.

Lastly, we will begin seeking volunteers to work the Night at the Races. If you volunteer early, you are guaranteed the time slot and position desired. If we all work together and share the load, it makes for a much more enjoyable and successful event.

If you are receive a packet but your child is no longer involved with the Varsity Football Program, please let me know so that your packet can be returned.

We are now actively accepting nominations for the 2012 South Fayette Touchdown Club Board. We have nominations in place for Treasurer (Jim Walker) and Activities Director (Tracey Valko). Open Board Positions include President, Vice President and Secretary. The job descriptions are listed below.

Open Board Positions:

1) President- Presides over all meetings, approves and oversees special committees, and works with the SF Middle School, High School, Administration and Athletic Department.
Assumes overall responsibly of the administration of the SFTC and its policies. Reviews all outgoing public correspondence, including website content. Coordinates SFTC Officer Responsibility. Assists other SFTC Board Members and Committees ensuring positive results in all functions.
2) Vice President-Assumes the responsibility of the Presidents in their absence and assumes any responsibilities designated by the president. Assist the president, other Board members and committees as needed. Promotes the SFTC to new members.
3) Secretary-Keep records of the organization including printed minutes of the Officers meetings and general membership meetings. Oversees administration needs of SFTC. Maintains member log and documentations including by laws. Assists other Board members and committees as needed.

Nominee: Jim Walker
Treasurer- Oversee all financial responsibilities of the SFTC. This includes keeping all financial records of the club, collections and documentation of all monies, manages all funds and financial transactions for the club. Oversees the preparation of the Federal, State and local tax returns if applicable. Reports financial transactions to members at the monthly meeting. Ensures that any funds provided are in accordance with the by laws and mission
statements. Provides a running comparison of current year finances with prior year finances. Responsible for the safekeeping of all financial documentation and transactions. Paying with SFTC funds all approved debts and invoices by bank draft requiring 2 officer signatures.

Nominee: Tracey Valko
Activities Director-Shall coordinate, maintain and ensure all fundraising activities and committees supporting fundraising for the SFTC. Oversees and manages the administration of all SFTC approved events. Assists any Board member and Committee as needed. Oversees the collections of appropriate release forms of the SFTC approved events requiring a release. Oversees and manages all fundraising and assists the Treasurer in collection of monies of each fundraiser event organized and voted on by currant Board and Members.
